  1. Create a text frame and fill with text.
  2. Position an object over the frame, wrap it, and float it.
  3. Copy the text frame and paste it, which will copy the floated object, too. The floated object will still have its wrap settings but the text will not be wrapped around it. You will need to modify the frame or wrapped object for the text wrapping to be applied.

Hi @MikeTO,

I was about to log this as I could replicate this every time in 2.2.1, but after updating Publisher release to 2.3 today this appears to have been fixed as I can no longer replicate it, can you confirm?

Hi Nathan. I replicated it on my first attempt today with 2.3. My steps were: I filled a frame with filler text and expanded it, drew a rectangle and dragged it over the frame, text wrapped it using Tight, pinned in as Floated, and then copied and pasted the frame.

Ah yes my mistake as I had not been following the exact same steps after updating giving the impression it was fixed. I was drawing the rectangle immediately over the text frame without transforming it, and then subsequently wrapping, floating and then copy/pasting the frame which wasn't triggering the bug. I'll get this logged, thanks.

Thanks Nathan. And even though the causes are very different, I wonder if it's related to this other bug report.

Your embedded link is just re-directing me back to this post, was this meant to be to a different post? 🙂

Oops, sorry about that. Here's the one. In this case the text isn't wrapping when the document is opened. I haven't been able to duplicate that myself though.
