Hello All

I'm setting a paperback novel (Mac OS Desktop) using APv2.

All pages are showing the linked text pages lines, but if I hover over black triangle on the lower r-h side of the page, I get 1 of 2 warning symbols.

Preflight does not highlight these.

A pdf is attached of my badly-drawn versions.

Before I send off to print, does anyone have any ideas what they mean - or should I ignore.

Many thanks.

Billio

First, it's better to simply paste a screenshot into the forums, rather than creating a file that we have to open.

Next, those look something like the symbols you get when trying to delete links between text frames, but I would need to see a full screenshot to be sure.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble @BadgerBill!

As Walt has requested, are you able to provide a screenshot of the warning shown in the app? As it's unfortunately a little hard to be certain of the exact issue you're reporting from the drawn diagrams provided.

Many thanks in advance :)

Thanks for providing these for me!

As Walt correctly identified, this is the 'Unlink Cursor', which are shown when you have a story flowing between multiple text frames and begin the process of deleting the link between these frames.

These icons will only show when clicking on an existing Text Frame flow and won't affect your document export. You can find out more about these in the below helpfile:

https://affinity.help/publisher2/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Text/linkingTextFrames.html?title=Linking text frames

Quote
  1. From the Tools panel, select the Move Tool.
  2. Select the text frame to be unlinked, then click the 'previous' and/or 'next' Text Flow buttons (top left or bottom right, respectively).
  3. Click within the frame when the unlink cursor (Unlink test frame) appears.

I hope this clears things up :)
