mynameistom Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 I've recently updated to macOS Sonoma and now all my Affinity Designer files seem to open and immediately become desaturated. I've attached 2 images as an example of something I exported before the update and the same image exported after so you can clearly see the difference. What appears to be happening is when I open an Affinity document, the colours immediately change. I can see this because the Quick Look preview before I open the file shows the original colours, but as soon as I open the document in Designer, the desaturation is applied. And its not just a preview thing because the desaturation comes out on export as well. This also occurs for newly created documents where, if I load an image in, the colours immediately get desaturated. Any idea what's going on here? My first though it some kind of weird colour space mismatch when updating to Sonoma. Quote
mynameistom Posted November 28, 2023 Author Posted November 28, 2023 Apologies if the images aren't the best example, just what I had on hand. But you can see that the blue and yellow components are quite clearly desaturated (original is the 2nd image). Quote
Staff Callum Posted November 30, 2023 Staff Posted November 30, 2023 Hi MyNameisTom, Please could you let me know if this issue still occurs with our 2.3 update released today? If it does please could you tell me which colour space/profile you are using in your document? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
mynameistom Posted November 30, 2023 Author Posted November 30, 2023 Hey @Callum, Seems like its righted itself after the update! Not sure what was going on, but glad its fixed. If it helps, I was just on the default sRGB Colour Profile. Thanks Quote
