Axhill Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 I have named quite a few anchors incorrectly. So I want to rename these anchors. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how I should do that. Affinity Publisher 2 version 2.2.1 macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 Quote Don't believe everything you think
MikeTO Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Hi, there are two ways to do it. Click the anchor name twice in the Anchors panel (you can also right click) - Publisher will allow you to rename the anchor directly in the panel. Place the cursor before or after the anchor and choose Text > Interactive > Anchor Properties. Axhill Posted November 27, 2023 Author Posted November 27, 2023 Hi MikeTO. Thanks for your quick response. At least I can fix the anchors tonight! Thanks again! Quote Don't believe everything you think
Besieged Parent Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 just fyi, I was having the same problem in Publisher 2 2.4.2 but neither of the 2 options above solved the problem for me because I couldn't get the Anchors panel to show up. In this version, the panel is under Window > References > Anchors. The program crashed a few times while editing anchors, specifically, when I click the icon to have the anchor export as a bookmark. Is there a way to convert a bunch of anchors into bookmarks in this version without causing the application to crash? (I'm on a MacBook Air Apple M3 14.4.1). I may try the update but am always wary of updating while finishing up a large project. Quote
MikeTO Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 I haven't heard of crashes with anchors like this before. But you don't have to use the panel if it's causing issues for you. Position the cursor before or after the anchor and choose Text > Interactive > Anchor Properties. You can change the PDF bookmark setting from the dialog box that opens. Besieged Parent Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Thank you. Under Anchor Properties, I have "Export PDF as bookmark" already selected. (I also have including bookmarks selected when exporting.) The resulting pdf shows bookmarks in some applications (such as Adobe, Wondershare on Mac) but not Preview, the default Mac app. That application shows zero bookmarks in the document. Quote

In Preview, you must choose View > Table of Contents, not Bookmarks. Preview is a bit odd.
