Hi all,

I think this is a bug as I can't see why this would be a beneficial feature.

When you have a document with facing pages, but create a master with a single page (say you wanted to break up a publication by having a separate design on just one page), the single page does not adapt to the facing pages. In this example I'm using the margin to highlight, where the inner and outer margins are different values:

You can see that the single page master is based on the right hand page, and when you try to apply it to a page on the left, the inner and outer margin values do not adapt.

NB - I'm aware you can get around this by creating a master with facing pages, duplicate the design you want on the left and right pages, then apply that facing master to a single page. But in my head the method of using single page masters should have the same behaviour, otherwise why would they be available in a facing page document.

Thanks
Max

It is perhaps hard to believe but it works the way it works because it is supposed to work that way. Honest.

If I have a single page with a different size for the left hand margin I want that size to be on the left, not swap with the right depending on the page being left or right. I would hate having this change.

I also have to ask what you would want to happen with other elements you put on a single page Master Page, should they too alter their locations?

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
