Affinity Publishers' 'Running Headers' aren't carried across when using 'Edit in Designer' and simply display the <Running Header> placeholder text despite the Running Header Text Style being available in Designer...

I'm a bit surprised that you can edit a running header in Designer (by right-clicking and choosing Edit Field) but I'm not surprised that it displays <Running Heading>. I wouldn't expect the feature to work in Designer.

And note that if you edit it the field will refresh and work. I'm surprised that works.

It feels more like a screen redraw glitch to me because simply selecting and editing the Running Header field and then selecting the same text style does then update the Running Headers correctly in Designer...

Likewise, the Section Name text comes across without any issues...

The issue "Running headers incorrectly imported in Designer" (REF: AF-1320) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.0.2175".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
