thomaso
Sure you have set at least one bleed > 0 in the document properties? Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 only
Gnaciux
yes, is 0,5 in all documents
thomaso
I can't check in my V1 if this could be an issue in particular of book-documents … but do you get bleed if you export a single .afpub? Gnaciux
yes, a single doc can be exported with bleed. I have the V2. Maybe is a bug with .afbook files?

Staff NathanC Posted November 27, 2023 Staff Share Posted November 27, 2023 Hi @Gnaciux, I'm not able to re-produce this on a test .afbook document I've created, the 'Include Bleed' option remains accessible when exporting from the books panel dialog, could you send me a copy of you .afbook file along with the chapter .afpub files so I can inspect your document? I've provided a private upload link below. https://www.dropbox.com/request/Gbm3xNd5C0gm8Gj3OH5N Many thanks

Staff NathanC Posted November 29, 2023 Staff Share Posted November 29, 2023 Hi @Gnaciux, Thanks for the files, you're correct in that it's not possible to export your .afbook file out to a PDF with the bleedbox included, though the problem is not specific to your file as on Windows I cannot export a basic blank document with bleed included via the Book export function, the option remains disabled regardless and I have to manually export out the individual chapter(s) to get a bleed. In my earlier post I had only conducted the test on Mac where the 'Include Bleed' option remains accessible so long as there is a bleed set on the chapters, i'll get this Windows-specific bug logged with the developers. I've not identified a way to workaround this on Windows outside of manually exporting out the individual chapters, though as a one off since I have access to both Mac and Windows I can offer to export your .afbook file from MacOS with bleed if you send me a screenshot of your desired PDF export settings and send you a private download link for the file. Is a work for sending in some months, so I hope that it will solved in next updates. How long could be do the solution? PE1

This issue is logged as a priority so it should hopefully be fixed come the next beta/release, but it's not something that I'd be able to provide a timeframe for I'm afraid. PE1
I am on Windows and can also confirm the inability to export a defined bleed on export via the Book hamburger menu export. I have been starting to use this feature find it to be a useful option in making books. Hope it gets fixed soon.
