venturacottage
We have a 2000 page heritage website https://ourfallen.lowestoftoldandnow.org that we can export as an excel csv file (name at title, body text, memory text and images ) but wondered the best way to import it into a book format it is important that formatting is automatic within the import. Anyone had experience of such things please. Particularly how much could be automated on import and how much manually done thanks
Old Bruce
You could use Publisher's Data Merge ability to produce it from the CSV file. The resulting Publisher file will not be sortable though, meaning the way the CSV file is sorted is the way it will be in Publisher. If you resort the spreadsheet then you'll need to re-generate the Publisher file to show that it is now sorted by country instead of rank. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I do not have much experience with APub's Data merge but as I understand it, to include images in the merge the CSV file would need to have values for the images that are the individual path names for where each image is stored. I do not know of any automatic way to generate them but maybe someone else does?
