Nixerman Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Can someone please tell me why am I getting the bizarre Font Size Display? The smaller Text has bigger number than the Text that is visibly bigger. Both are Para Text. Quote
walt.farrell Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Can you share the Affinity document with us? Nixerman Posted November 24, 2023 Author Posted November 24, 2023 I copied it in the new file so the sizes have now become 41 and 33 now.. But the issue is still there. FONT SIZE.afdesign Quote
walt.farrell Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Thanks. You have probably scaled the upper text frame using the scaling handle (detached handle) to make the text bigger. The scaling factor isn't shown. I selected that text, and used Edit > Defaults > Revert which provided its natural size: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Nixerman Posted November 24, 2023 Author Posted November 24, 2023 Thanks but i did increase and decrease to check what was wrong but normally it used to correct the Font Size when you use the Resizing Handle, that was what was not happening. Also weird that it was originally 16/18 in the file i was working but when i copied in the new document - it’s 33/43. 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for the help, Walt. 🙏🏻 Quote

It will only affect the frame size. The Rescaling handle will change the frame size and the apparent (visual) size of the text and the value in the panel or Context Toolbar fields. But the rescaling factor is not shown in the UI, and will cause problems if you use copy/paste or make subsequent changes using the numeric fields. Basic rule: don't use that handle. It probably isn't what you want.
