Hi all,

I'm trying to print an A5 greetings card on A4 and thus need it to print borderless which is possible on my Canon Pixma Pro 200. I've screenshotted the document setup and printer config and the print dialogue preview suggests that the bleed will extend to the edges but the resultant prints (and PDF also attached) have a ~5mm border on paper edges and 2mm border on the fold.

I'll also share my afpub file incase that helps.

Many thanks,Chrismas cards.afpubChrismas cards.afpubChrismas cards.afpub

The print dialog can appear misleading occasionally. In this case I assume the print size "100%" conflicts with bleed. In my experience some options (e.g. bleed, print marks, N-Up) may require to adjust the print size manually while the two auto-options "Fit" and "Shrink" appear not to work as expected by not respecting or considering all settings of the various dialog sections.

Apart from that, the preview in your screenshot indicates borderless printing. Also it seems your result contains bleed but empty.

Cheers @thomaso, I've tried turning bleed off, scaling at 100% / fit / shrink etc but no settings seem to work. I wonder if it's a MacOS issue. I exported a PDF rather than print preview from Affinity Publisher and opened the exported PDF in Preview. It showed borderless. Then I print previewed from that Preview borderless etc and the mini preview showed borderless, but its resultant PDF has a border...

If you consider that a separate, macOS internal PDF library creates the print-to-pdf result, the issue may be quite likely related to macOS.

If you cant get it setup as required with the Affinity print dialog maybe the Preview.app is easier to handle? Also you could create the wanted layout before in Affinity and print a 'simple' page then.

the actual printer as the border's visible on paper too 😞

Or does this rather mean that it is generally not working … although you initially wrote "print borderless which is possible on my Canon Pixma Pro 200"?

Sure you used the same printer preset? I don't get any additional margin or page border with print-to-pdf (open in Preview) from APub V1, neither as single A4 page nor as N-Up with bleed/printing marks.
