Louisk Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Hi folks. I have a master page with 2 text boxes on it in a double column layout. I have 4 'sub-masters' based on this master, and about 40 pages using it. I just changed my upper margin and resized the textboxes to match. But the change didn't carry through anywhere the master is used? I have never made changes in the pages that use the master with master detached - I have only filled them with text. What are the rules for whether master changes propagate? I can't share the file but I can try to make a 'mockup' version if that's helpful. Thanks! Quote
Louisk Posted November 23, 2023 Author Posted November 23, 2023 I should say the change to margin I applied to "all spreads", which did apply, but the master page text box change didn't Quote
Louisk Posted November 23, 2023 Author Posted November 23, 2023 Okay, cancel that! It didn't work to change the original master page, but it did work to 'edit linked' on one of the pages. Leaving post up in case it's useful. Quote
thomaso Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 I'd like to experience this document. Can you upload your .afpub without the text or your "mockup" version please? Your workaround with "edit linked" on a document page appears to be a smart idea! Quote • MacBookPro Retina 15" | macOS 10.14.6 | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 • iPad 10.Gen. | iOS 18.5. | Affinity V2.6
