Affinity Publisher 2.2.1 Text Box and Text Frame Trouble Windows 11

Hello,  I have the latest Affinity Publisher 2.2.1 for Windows and I'm having some text frame problems. I've attached a file, the first part on the left

is my settings on my page with nothing selected on my page, but some of the fields are populated?? The text frame in the middle is what

happened when I made a text frame and did not type anything?? The part on the right is what happens when I try to use the artistic text

tool, the first letter is big followed by little letters, they should all be the same size??   Should I delete the Program and Reinstall?

You have a Drop Cap set for the word test. Shown here is the Paragraph Panel, this is a Paragraph setting.

Some, if not all, of the fields will always be populated. Otherwise when you start to type there would be no font, with no size or ink colour etc applied.

I think you may have set a numbered list for the paragraph.

That last part on the right with the artistic text has nothing to do the controls in the file. It was cut and pasted from a different file.
