Kobold Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Hi, vector brush thickness is shown in px, but I always work in mm only. (only text size is pt) Is there a way to get a mm setting for this thickness as a standard unit? I can type a value plus mm behind that, but that´s just too much to do that every time. Would be nice if there would be a solution for that, so I could change that to mm. Thanks. Quote
GarryP Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Setting the Document Units to millimetres should get you the Stroke Width shown as millimetres unless you have “Show Lines in points” set to ON in Settings → User Interface. As far as I know there’s no way to have the Stroke Width shown as anything other than the Document Units, except when “Show Lines in points” is ON, but if you always work in millimetres that probably won’t be a problem. Kobold Posted November 21, 2023 Author Posted November 21, 2023 Hi Garry ...... document setting is set to mm, and show lines in points is not activated. Pencil lines width is shown in mm, only vector brush remains with px. Quote
GarryP Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Ah, I see what you mean, sorry, I was thinking of the wrong thing. I don’t know why it’s always in Pixels; maybe something to do with it – sometimes – using rasters to create the strokes, so it’s got to be Pixels all the time because that’s what the raster brushes are measured in, perhaps? The Help says specifically that the Width is in Pixels so I’m guessing that it can’t be changed. Quote
Dan C Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Hi Kobold, GarryP is correct, I've moved this to the feedback section for dev visibility as it's something that's certainly been requested a few times. Lee Quote
