Just upgraded from V1.xx to V 2.2.  Windows 10.

Font install instructions in the app say to "right click on font in Explorer and choose install".

If I right click on any of the .affont files downloaded with Version 2.2 I get "cut", "copy", "delete", "properties" and "open".

The only logical choice ("open") opens my old version of Affinity Publisher (Version 1)

The "guide to installing add-ons in Affinity Apps" says

Affinity Fonts are installed and managed directly in Affinity 2.0.4 or later

But if offers no clue on how.  How do I install these new fonts?

Thanks!

Those instructions are for standard font files (.ttf, .otf).

Files of type .Affinity are special funds usable only in the Affinity applications and installed through them.

Later in the guide there are instructions for using Import Content to install .affont files.

There are also instructions for installing add-ons from the Affinity Store via the Account dialog.

Either should work for those font files.

Thanks for your help, Walt.

Trouble is, those instructions are for MacOS and iPad.  I'm on Windows.

When I do attempt "import content" and navigate to my Downloads directory (that's where the fonts are) it doesn't see the folder containing the fonts.  Probably because it's a zip file.  I'll try copying the unzipped contents of that zip file to another directory and attempt installation from there.

And that worked!  :)

Yes, the instructions assume you've already unzipped the downloaded file.

Ideally, you would install through the Account dialog, and then you wouldn't have to worry about downloading or unzipping.
