ccumgol Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 When I am using Publisher and doing other work, or when I try to work on Publisher again after some time has passed, the program closes before I know it. Eventually I have to restart the program again. There was no problem like this before, but it seems to have occurred after updating to the latest version. I always keep the files I'm working on on the screen, but it ends every time and I have to open all the files again. The Mac I am currently using is a MacBook Pro 14" 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD using the M1 Pro chip. The status is the same even if I run a small number of other programs. Is this a bug in this version? Quote
loukash Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 I don't know if this is it, but MacOS has a feature to automatically quit inactive applications after some time. This (annoying) behavior can be turned off via Terminal, or more conveniently using TinkerTool: Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
ccumgol Posted November 15, 2023 Author Posted November 15, 2023 Thank you for your reply. But another program didn't quit but only Affinity Publisher. I'll try your way. Thank you. Quote
Staff Callum Posted November 16, 2023 Staff Posted November 16, 2023 Hi Ccumgol, Please could you tell me if you have tried reinstalling the app at all? Does the crash typically happen when using any specific feature etc or does it just occur at random? It may be handy if you provide a copy of the latest crash report found by following the below guide. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
