lookanew Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Any idea when this might be possible? Until I can use Affinity Photo to work my RW2s, the G9ii is practically useless to me. Quote
NotMyFault Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 (edited) This Camera was introduced in September 2023, and features a different sensor than the predecessor. So it may take some time before Apple RAW, LibRAW and Affinity apps provide support. Anything from 3 to 15 month is typical. If using an Apple device, try to switch to AppleRAW in settings, as Apple is occasionally faster to add support for new cameras. The only way to speed up the process is to register as developer for the LibRAW project and write the actual code yourself. Most apps processing RAW images publish compatibility list. It is advisable to check them first before purchasing a new camera model blindly. PS: sometimes it helps to adjust the RAW settings in camera to the most basic, meaning to disable certain advanced features like compressed RAW, extended bit depth / dynamic range, panorama stitching, or pixel shift. PS2: Adobe offers a RAW to DNG converter, which may create files compatible with Affinity.
