Godsgirl Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 How do I make a page link to the next page that begins with a table? It links to the page after the table. Quote
walt.farrell Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 I don't understand the question. Sorry. Can you give us a picture showing how you're trying to link it, and what you want it to do instead? R C-R Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 We don't know what you mean because pages don't 'link' to other pages in any special way; pages or spreads just are ordered one after the other, like is shown in the Pages panel. So please tell us what specific page content you are trying to link from page to page. Godsgirl Posted November 20, 2023 Author Posted November 20, 2023 I don't know how to open them from here. Sorry, but these are the pages in question. Pages 41-43.pdf Quote

If you are going to post an attachment it would be better to post a cut down .afpub format file with just the pages in question rather than your pdf, which appears to be made from a screenshot somehow since it is showing the normally hidden special characters. But just guessing from the pdf, I think you are trying to link a text frame on page 28 to what may be in the afpub file a table on page 29. Is that right? If so, I do not think you can do that, but if you can tell us what you want to accomplish by doing that someone may be able to suggest an alternative way to accomplish whatever that is. Godsgirl Posted November 25, 2023 Author Posted November 25, 2023 Yes, I am trying to link a text frame to a table that begins on the next page. That particular next page has wording as well as a table. The text frame on page 28 has automatically linked to page 30. That's not the way it should be, is it? Quote
walt.farrell Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 When you say "link" are you referring to text flow, where the text in one frame flows into the next frame? If so, that is a function of Text Frames, not of Tables. You could certainly create a Text Frame on the second page, and Pin a Table (floating) into the text in that Frame, such that the text flows around the Table. Perhaps that will do what you want. But if you wanted the text in one frame to flow into the Table, no, that won't work.
