This has been covered before, have read posts dating back to November 2022. One year later, still cannot launch AP2 from Lightroom or any other app.

"C:\Users\pdur1\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPhoto2_3cqzy0nppv2rt"

The error message reads something like this: "External Editor --  AffinityPhoto2 --  System cannot access file"

When I click directly on the AffinityPhoto2 application at that location I can open it. But not from within an app. So what an I missing?

TIA,

This is a fault with the external applications, which have not stepped up to support Windows MSIX applications properly.

As described in the FAQ, you can install the aflaunch helper, or you can uninstall your MSIX-based Affinity applications and download/install the EXE-based applications instead. But if you do that, you'll need to be careful whenever you update to a new release that you choose the EXE-based installers each time.

or just use the application alias as explained in the first link and call "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\AffinityPhoto2.exe" from Lightroom
