Thank you nickbatz,

My troubles started way before, I could not even download the program!

So, here I was, Affinity said they received the order. I could not find the download.

Tried again, and now I have the beautiful screen that I know nothing about!  : )

My journey begins....thank you for the recommendation.

I am ready!!

I’d pick the app you are most interested in learning first. Start learning that and many of the features, interface, etc, will be applicable to the rest of the suite as well. If design is your thing, start with Designer. If you’re more photographically oriented, start with Photo. Share your preference and we can point you to some good tutorials for your chosen app.

For beginners to photo editing and newcomers to APhoto, first pick a simple photo you want to enhance and work from there to more difficult retouching and modification.

In the beginning one can feel lost, floundering in a sea of confusion. Don't worry about it. Embrace the confusion. Wallow in non-understanding. Accept you will make mistakes, or later learn better ways to do what you are doing now. Eventually meaning will emerge. It's how we're made.
