nickbatz Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 No offense to all the others, I'd start with Affinity's own videos by James Ritson. He's really good at it. After that, branch out. Quote

So, here I was, Affinity said they received the order. I could not find the download. Tried again, and now I have the beautiful screen that I know nothing about! : ) My journey begins....thank you for the recommendation. I am ready!! Quote
Ldina Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 I’d pick the app you are most interested in learning first. Start learning that and many of the features, interface, etc, will be applicable to the rest of the suite as well. If design is your thing, start with Designer. If you’re more photographically oriented, start with Photo. Share your preference and we can point you to some good tutorials for your chosen app. Quote 2024 MacBook Pro M4 Max, 48GB, 1TB SSD, Sequoia OS, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher v1 & v2, Adobe CS6 Extended, LightRoom v6, Blender, InkScape, Dell 30" Monitor, Canon PRO-100 Printer, i1 Spectrophotometer, i1Publish, Wacom Intuos 4 PTK-640 graphics tablet

Granddaddy Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 For beginners to photo editing and newcomers to APhoto, first pick a simple photo you want to enhance and work from there to more difficult retouching and modification. James Ritson's official list of Affinity Photo 2 tutorials https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/170269-official-affinity-photo-v2-tutorials/ The official Affinity Photo learning page https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/learn/photo/desktop/ The following have extensive, free video tutorial collections Affinity Revolution https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6xPJ4dx82vSjysPUyjlCsw/videos InAffinity has several hundred videos indexed and organized by topic at https://changingminds.org/disciplines/photography/affinity_photo/inaffinity_video_index.htm InAffinity YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOnLUmyPHr2rayOHVHWsHVw/videos Excellent paid courses that I've purchased over the past several years from Affinity Revolution https://courses.affinityrevolution.com In the beginning one can feel lost, floundering in a sea of confusion. Don't worry about it. Embrace the confusion. Wallow in non-understanding. Accept you will make mistakes, or later learn better ways to do what you are doing now. Eventually meaning will emerge. It's how we're made. Alfred and PaulEC 2 Quote Affinity Photo 2.6.0 (MSI) and 1.10.6; Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 (MSI) and 1.10.6. Windows 10 Home x64 version 22H2.
