Why do I get a silcrow sign when I select the text tool in affinity designer ?

Hello everyone, can anybody tell me what causes the section sign (§) to appear when I select the text tool? Or how to turn it off?

Hi @gregoriodeleon,

If you go to Text > Show Special Characters and uncheck the option that will hide the end of story section symbol '§' along with any other special characters for your text.
