Abraxasstudio Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 I created a document and forgot to add a bleed. Is there a way of adding a bleed after a document has already been created? I’m trying to prevent doing a cut and paste to a new document if possible. thanks! Quote
MikeTO Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Yes, just choose File > Document Setup and click the Bleed tab. Abraxasstudio Posted November 10, 2023 Author Posted November 10, 2023 I’m an idiot. Forgot to mention I’m on AD for iPad. Sorry about that. Quote

You're not an idiot, I didn't notice this was the iPad forum. Click the hamburger menu and choose Document Setup. Scroll the right pane down to the bottom and you'll find bleed. Abraxasstudio Posted November 10, 2023 Author Posted November 10, 2023 Am I missing the Document Setup menu? Help tells how to add a bleed at the time you create a new document but nothing I can find about adding a bleed to an existing document. Quote
MikeTO Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Sorry, I just have Publisher installed on my iPad and assumed the command would be in the same position given the desktop version has it in the same position. If you have Publisher installed, too, just open the document in Publisher and modify it there and then you can continue to work on it in Designer. If you don't have Publisher, please wait for somebody else who might know more to chime in. Staff stokerg Posted November 10, 2023 Staff Posted November 10, 2023 Hi @Abraxasstudio, As confirmed here it's not currently possible to set or alter a bleed after you've created a document. This can only be set when creating the document. NathanC from the linked thread, has logged this with the Developers so hopefully, this will be addressed soon. I've added a link to the report back to this thread so we can update you when it's been resolved. Quote
Abraxasstudio Posted November 10, 2023 Author Posted November 10, 2023 Thanks everyone! I was going crazy looking for a menu item that seems doesn’t exist. The open in Publisher workaround will help until a fix can be implemented. stokerg 1 Quote
