loukash Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 (edited) As the title says, while one of the annoying Light UI glitches has finally been fixed in 2.3.0.2114, now it's broken in the Dark UI: No visible difference if the Sync button in the Symbol panel is active or not. Ventura 13.6.1, MacBook Air M2 15" fully loaded" ADe 2.3.0.2114 freshly reset by manually deleting all support folders and prefs. P.S. Also still broken: "K Only" context toolbar button in the Light UI Edited November 9, 2023 by loukash see below, not a new variant of the bug, after all Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Sonoma > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 18 > Affinity v2

After doing "something", e.g. shuffling an open and unsaved document between ADe and APu back and forth, the visibility of the Sync button state broke in the Light UI as well. So apparently it's only visible on fresh launch for some time, until "some action" is being performed, then it breaks. loukash Posted November 9, 2023 Author Posted November 9, 2023 Alright, so the "mechanism" of this Sync button visibility bug appears to be this: It will work in the Dark UI until you switch to the Light UI where it's broken. Then when you switch back to the Dark UI, it will be broken as well, until the next time you relaunch Designer. And exactly vice versa, if you launch Designer with the Light UI, it will work, but it will break if you switch to the Dark UI and won't come back until next relaunch This already applies to v2.2.1 as well (just tested), so it's not a new variant of the bug after all.
