I’m having a view issues in Affinity Photo for iPad v2 - there seems to be some issues with progress loss when exiting the document you’re working on and going into gallery view to ‘save as’.

In addition to this I often duplicate documents in gallery view and work on the duplicated version so I don’t have to make a document the same dimensions from scratch.  I’ve just had one of these duplicate files completely revert to the most recent version of its original - so two identical files, all edits completely gone. They both still had the same file name in gallery view as I hadn’t yet done a ‘Save as’ on the duplicate file. This is the first time this has ever happened and I had no issues with this workflow on V1.

(Please please consider re-instating Save as (or whatever it was called before!) as an option while the document is open, not only does it slow down workflow having to exit the document to gallery view every time you want to save a afphoto version, it’s also really scary as it’s a constant gamble over progress loss!)

Hope that makes sense!

@CharlotteArt Welcome to the forums.

I've been trying to replicate the issue on my iPad in each of our V2 apps and so far I haven't been able to. I've created and edited working files that I haven't directly saved and the correct version with edits is always reopened. I've duplicated the files, which should add 'Copy' to the filename. Made adjustments to those, switched back to the Live Docs screen, I can see the file preview update. If I tap it again, it opens with the adjustments I last made.

As with some issues, we need a screen recording showing the issue occurring for reference. If you can also confirm the model of iPad you have as well as the version of iPadOS running.
