How do I remove a child layer from a parent layer?

Also, how do I move a table to another page?

Do you want to take the child layer out of the parent layer (change the stacking order) or remove the child layer completely from the document (e.g. delete it)?

To move a table you can either drag it or use cut and paste.

To move the child out of the parent layer, right-click the child layer in the Layers panel and select Release or simply drag it out to above or below the parent layer in the Layers panel.
