sheik266
I can't figure out how to make a solid black line with the pen tool. It always has a slightly transparent outer edge. I'm having the same problem with the rectangle tool. See attached image. Background: I'm trying to do some "8-bit" styled work. PixelPest
What you want is called "pixel-pefect" graphic - in essence you need enabled snapping and Resampling with "Nearest neighbour" during export: Cheers P. Edit: correction
A_B_C
To add this, you don’t need to use line widths with an even count of pixels. You can also create a half pixel grid for snapping … :)
Staff MEB Posted April 4, 2016 Staff Share Posted April 4, 2016 There's no need to create a grid specifically for this. The Automatic Grid picks half-pixels automatically. PixelPest
Yay! Seems I got the snapping right in the end: Cheers P.
A_B_C
Oh dear, MEB, I assumed this feature was abandoned when custom grids entered the application … :(
sheik266
I'm using snapping and I am still getting the partially transparent edges. I also tried A_B_C's suggestion as well. I'm trying to make a solid 4px width line. Thank you for the quick replies!
A_B_C
That’s strange … Could you perhaps upload an .afdesign document with your example, if available? That would simplify the diagnosis of the problem, so to say … ;)
sheik266
I think I may have found the issue.... 4pt is not equal to 4px I didn't notice the units changed :P
