Hello,

I am facing a serious problem: every time I copy my work from my desktop (x86) to my macbook pro (M1), using a USB pen or a network storage, my work gets corrupted. The same happens in the other direction.

Publisher acutally opens the file, but after a little time a popup opens and forces me to close the file.

I am attaching a broken file that worked on my desktop (x86) and does not open on my laptop (M1).

SometimesI can overcome the problem importing the pages in a new document, but this is really a poor workaround.

I hope you can help me figure out if I am doing something wrong or eventually fix this problem.

Thank you for your help!

Lorenzo

@bob0 Can you confirm the exact workflow you take that results in the file becoming corrupt. Does the file remain on the USB drive while you're working on it on both macOS and Windows?

What are the file systems of the drives being used (FAT32, NTFS, APFS)?

I am working on macos only.

I usually transfer the files from my desktop to my laptop using a APFS network disk (QNAP NAS).

It happened also with a USB drive, but I can not find it now so I am unsure about the filesystem (probably FAT32).

Thank you for your help.
