page numbering

Hello,

can you please help me with page numbering for a booklet formatted in Publisher?

When I go to the Fields panel and Text>Insert>Fields>Page Number all these options are greyed out. I must be doing something wrong but I cannot fathom what. Can you please help?

You need to place the text cursor in a text frame to be able to insert a page number. You can do it without the Fields panel. Just place the text cursor in a frame and then choose Text > Insert > Fields > Page Number.
