Hi all,

I made a vector illustration in Affinity Designer V2. My canvas size is 80x60cm, so quite large. When I export it to png/jpg, it becomes quite pixelated on my iPad screen. I made a similar illustration with the same canvas size in Affinity Designer V1 a while ago, and that picture doesn’t get pixelated on my screen. Anyone any ideas why this is happening? I would expect an illustration with such a big canvas to be very sharp on my screen. I want to print it in 80x60 (i know i can use pdf/eps and then the lines stay sharp, but i also want to be able to print a jpg/png) so it would be nice if the lines stay sharp.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Kyra

JPG and PNG files are raster (pixel) images, so if you view them at higher than 100% zoom they will probably appear pixelated. What DPI did you export them at? What is the zoom level when you view the image on your iPad, and what are you viewing it with?

And why do you want to print it using JPG or PNG? The person viewing the print won't know or care how you printed it.
