I use Affinity Designer version 2.2.1 on Windows 10 Pro (21H2).

I created a dsign with a graphic and two texts. Both texts I transformed using the "Verformungsgruppe"-tool (that's what it's called in German, I'm not 100% sure, what the English equivalent would be). Everything looks fine in Designer, but as soon as I try to export the file into a png (or a jpeg or whatever), one of the texts gets cropped. I made sure, that I chose "whole document" in the section where you could choose which part of the document should be exported.

I attach both the design-file and the png with the cropped text to this thread.

If it's not a bug, but something I did wrong while designing the file, I would be happy to hear, what I've done wrong.

Thanks for your help.

I am also a unicorn.png

Welcome to the forums @GiborDesign

(Designer 2.2.1 on Windows 10 Home.)

When I try to export your design to PNG I see the text is cropped at the top in the preview and in the exported result (when viewed in the MS Photos app).

When I try to export your design to SVG I don’t see a crop at preview but the text looks weird in both the preview and when opened in Inkscape (1.2.2) – see attached image.

I haven’t tried any other combinations.

Looks like a bug to me unless I’m missing some important information.

Note: I think the Verformungsgruppe functionality you mention is called the Warp Group functionality in English.

It does look like a possible bug though one possible workaround is to swap the Leading Override to Baseline Shift...

Thanks a lot for your reply and your help. This at least confirms, that something seems odd and others could replicate it as well.

I hope then, the devs see this bug report here. Or is there someplace else I should send a report to?

Wow, thank you so much fo this work around and the troubles you went into, to show it to me. This is great! Means I can export it now despite the bug. 😄

Hi @GiborDesign,

This is a bug with the Warp Group and i can't see it already logged, so will get it logged with the Developers.

It's caused by having 2 Warp Groups in a group.  If you Right click on the 'Text Englisch' group and select Ungroup, it will export correctly :)

Thanks a lot. This also explains, why it only appeared after I made the English text (I made groups for the two sets of texts, to easily switch between them).
