Hello,

I've created an SVG in AD(2) and given each layer a unique name.  When I import into Cricut (Design Space) the layer names are ignored and it simply uses the file name for each layer.  It does keep the colors, which is nice.  And while we can rename the layers in Design Space, it would be nice if it somehow honored them from the import file.  Any tips would be appreciated.

Try if it makes any difference to export to SVG using "SVG (for export)" preset. When opening an SVG file in Inkscape or Illustrator, both "Layer" type containers and regular group type and other kinds of named organizing containers are retained (even if objects enclosed are often placed in group containers not existing in the original design).

Thank you for responding.  I tried both the default preset (as you suggested) and my own.  Both have same result as far as the layer panel in Design Space (ignores my layer names and uses file name).
