walt.farrell Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 For earlier discussion, and a sample file (not the same file as in the video above, though), please see: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. walt.farrell Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Looking at the sample file in your other topic, one strange thing is that according to the Layers studio, Artboard3 has no content. That is, unlike the other 2 Artboards, Artboard 3 has no disclosure icon to expand the Artboard so the contents show. But even so, there's a Layer Thumbnail that has content matching what's visible on the workspace. I have no explanation for that. walt.farrell Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 But for Artboard1 and Artboard2, with the Move Tool Auto-Select setting in the Context Bar set to Groups (you have Objects), and Edit All Layers set in the Layers studio options (as you have in your file) a single-click does select complete groups. Double-clicking on the workspace is not a "select" action for the Move Tool; that switches to the Node Tool, which is probably not what you want. That works for both Artboard1 and Artboard2. Artboard3, though, just seems broken (as I mentioned above) since it somehow has no content. Brettha Posted November 1, 2023 Author Posted November 1, 2023 I just figured it out. I imported the objects from another app. They were placed into layers which I mistakenly thought were already “grouped” and when I selected the group, it behaved as if it was not grouped, selecting a curve instead. I thought I’d read something about this as a new feature? Maybe not. In any case by grouping each layer, it behaved as a group. So … Thankyou… for your due diligence.
