I have somehow lost all my panels such as layers in Designer so now I have just a basic board to work from using the toolbars on the left and the context toolbar and the file pull downs. I am especially missing not have having a layers panel. Now, when i open a new file it is just the same. i must have hit a key that has hidden them all but in spite of checking help etc there seems no way to unhide using the top line of pull down options, the context bar or the side toolbars. can you experts out there help please?

From the menu, Window > Studio > and make sure you don't have the Studio Hidden, and make sure both sides of the Studio are set to Show. (If you're using V1, use the View menu, instead.

Thank you so much! Why couldn't I find this? I am not quite a beginner having used Page Plus but I do find this software baffling at times!!!

There seems to be a bug where View Studio gets unchecked when you zoom.

What do you mean by "View Studio" ?
And where does it get "unchecked"?
And in what app, version and operating system?
And how do you zoom: with Zoom Tool, mouse wheel, touchpad, menu command, … ?

As far I know there is a menu command in menu "View" -> "Studio", or a menu command in menu "View" -> "Hide Studio" … but "View Studio" ?
