Besieged Parent Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 With placed text in Affinity Publisher, how can I retain hyperlinks that appear within body copy when applying a paragraph style? I need to format the paragraphs but don't want to lose my links in the process. (I tried applying a character style but that only affects the look of the text; the link disappears.) Quote
walt.farrell Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 How re you Placing the text, and what is the source of the text you're Placing? Are you sure the hyperlink was actually there before you applied the Paragraph Text Style? Besieged Parent Posted October 30, 2023 Author Posted October 30, 2023 Yes, the text was downloaded from Google docs. The links show up when I open the text files in Word or TextEdit AND when I import into Publisher. But when I apply a body/paragraph style to them, it eliminates URLs. I am using Publisher 1.10.6 walt.farrell 1 Quote
Staff stokerg Posted October 31, 2023 Staff Posted October 31, 2023 Hi @Besieged Parent, I can't see a way to do this in V1 or V2. As soon as you apply the style the hyperlink is removed. So you'd have to manually add the link back. I'm hoping I've missed something and someone will be able to correct me, but from playing around with the Style options, I've not found a way to do this that doesn't remove the link from the Hyperlink panel. I haven't found a way to retain the Hyperlink, either. Seems like this is probably a bug?
