Paul Chiswick Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 When a symbol is resized/reoriented, it would be good to have all instances do the same. Currently - as far as I can see - they do not. Quote
walt.farrell Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Symbols have a list of attributes that are (or can be) synchronized (Linked). For some reason, Transform/Constraints are Unlinked by default. Here's a newly created Symbol, for example: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Dan C Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 I believe these unlinked attributes is By Design - as this allows each Symbol instance to have it's own transform properties, as required. If you want to resize / orientate multiple instances of your Symbol at once, you have to apply the transform to the specific layers within the Symbol, as such: 2023-10-30 14-10-30.mp4 If your symbol contains multiple layers, you may want to Group these within the Symbol, then apply the Transform to the Group layer. I hope this helps! Old Bruce and walt.farrell 1 1 Quote
