Carel Bron Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 After installing and trying the beta version of Affinity photo V2 I experienced several issues. One of them was that after I processed a couple of images (NEF) suddenly the Affinity window disappears and when I try to exit the program it tells me that I have to save my images before quitting. But at that moment I am not able to get to the image anymore. It looks like it is hidden somewhere 🙂 When I force the program to stop (option + command+ esc on my Mac) and I start over again after a while (minutes) it all happens again. The second thing is that Affinity photo doesn't work properly as a add-on of Photo (apple software). When I try to save my processed image I get the error message that changes will not be saved. Before I tried the latest beta version of V2 everything worked fine. Any idea what I can do to solve the problem? (Since I do not use Twitter/X and Facebook anymore, I am not able to reach out to some sort of Helpdesk which I find pretty annoying). I hope that one of you guys can help me. Kind regards Carel Bron Quote

Does this only happen in the beta or does it also apply to the non-beta version of Affinity? 5 hours ago, Carel Bron said: The second thing is that Affinity photo doesn't work properly as a add-on of Photo (apple software). Which version of MacOS are you running? We do have a bug logged where you can get this error and it's still open with the Developers to resolve. But again, do you only get this error when using the beta or does also apply to the release build of Affinity? If the issues only apply to the beta version of the app, then you need to make a post in the beta section of the Forums here and the team looking after the beta will address the issues raised. Altho, if you confirm these only apply to the beta, I'll move this post to save you from having to post again  Quote
Carel Bron Posted October 30, 2023 Author Posted October 30, 2023 I uninstalled the beta version and the regular version Affinty photo 2.2. After reinstalling, the problem persisted unabated. So I no longer use the beta version, but only the regular version 2.2. I use MacOs Sonoma 14.0 Thanks for your reply Quote
