Scenario:

  1. Open an Affinity document that already has an active Pixel Selection. (Sample provided below.)

  2. Drag the Pixel Selection with the Move Tool. This moves the selection and its content. However this does not add a History entry unless you do something else, such as pressing Enter or switching Tools. This bug occurs when you don't do something else.

  3. Undo (Ctrl+Z). The moved selection/pixels are not moved back to their original location, because there is no History entry to undo.
Note: At this point, even though the document has been changed, you can also Close it without being prompted to Save.

  4. However, if you've done something else between step1 and step 2, such as changing the document's color format, so you don't have an empty History, at step 3 the Undo will create the History entry for the Transform operation, and will then undo it and move the pixels back where they started.

Notes:

  • Affects both Publisher and Photo; have not tried Designer.
  • Affects V1 and V2.
  • Also affects Ctrl+Drag in step 2 to clone the pixels that are being moved (V2).
