I see that one of the bug fixes in the list is

  • Word footnote imports with tiny font size .

I am finding that imported endnotes from Word are still coming in with paragraph style EndnoteText and also Endnote Reference character style. So they are all superscript. I have found, however, that doing a Find for Endnote Reference and changing it to No Style fixes this. The Endnote Reference style doesn't seem to be necessary, as the Notes panel still connects the numbers in the main text with the endnotes, and can make them superscript even when the numbers are No Style character. So it works without an Endnote Reference character style.

But I would really like to have an Endnote Reference character style for the main text so that, for instance, I could increase the size of the text for the endnote numbers in the main text if I wanted. It's unfortunate that Word embeds the character style into the paragraph style for endnotes, causing them all to be superscript.

I am on Mac Ventura.
