Feature Request: Expanding the Data Merge functionality

I'm writing reports. I need to insert specific data from a CSV/JSON file into these reports at various places (tables, text fields, in the middle of sentences etc.). 

I would like to merge the data in using key:values references.

After Data Merge, it would look like this:

Please consider adding this functionality, as this would greatly expand the possible use cases for Data Merge - thanks in advance 😀
