So I just started doing a bit of inking of a manga character and 2.3 came live, so I switched over to 2.3 and immediately discovered that I'd left the custom "skin tone" palette behind in 2.2. So I opened 2.2, exported the palette, and back to 2.3 and imported it.

Now what I'm trying to figure out, is I have other custom palettes in 2.2 that did transfer over? But not all of them. Is it dependant on whether they are System palettes? Application palettes? or something else that's happening.

It's not a big deal, I'm just curious. 2.3 is looking real good. Have to explore more yet, iPad and PC as well for all three.

Have you used the previous betas on that machine?

If so, you should have any palettes you previously transferred from the retail version to that earlier beta. And you would have System palettes. But the betas don't share data with retail, and there's no automatic transfer between them.

Yes, all the way along from about 1.0 what ever it was 🙂  I figured that was the case. No transfer with Betas. Could get messy if there was. I probably didn't export the non-transfers as System in the first place. No worries.

I like being able to actually see what's in the Assets panels mostly. Very nice.
