Gatsby Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 (edited) I updated affinity photo to version 2.2.1 this morning and now the program does not open on my laptop. Im running the most recent windows update and I've tried installing affinity using the msix installer. My directx is up to date and my is is 64 bits. The affinity FAQ said it couldn't determine if I had a 64 bit os so could that be the problem? Is there a way I can't revert to the 2.2.0 because that was working perfectly. Any help is appreciated Edited October 25, 2023 by Gatsby Quote

If so, can you give us a screenshot of it? For reverting, you can download an older version from https://affinity.store/update/windows/photo/2 but make sure you download the kind of installer you want to use. Unfortunately, I don't get any error message. I watched task manager while trying to open the app and it will show up in the background for a few seconds and then it disappears. I've tried holding control while opening the app to get into the back end and it does the same thing, shows up in task manager for a few seconds before disappearing. walt.farrell 1 Quote
Gatsby Posted October 25, 2023 Author Posted October 25, 2023 Got it to work. I had to download the 2.0.0, then from the update prompt, rather than reinstalling 2.0.0, I was able to launch 2.2.0. No Idea what changed but this is the only way ive been able to get the program to launch Obscured 1 Quote
twilloo Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 I used the older version of affitnity 2 photo in the trail version and I was doing ok with it but the latest version seems do much more difficult for a newbie so t was thinking of either getting a refund or reverting back to what seemed like a much simpler version. Any advice? Quote
