HilaryP Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 I recently upgraded my iPad apps to v2, and clicked "Save to iPad" for each Affinity app when setting up without thinking, and now I cannot figure out how to change to it "Save to iCloud" so I can move back and forth between desktop and iPad easier without having to export a new copy into my iCloud folder. There has be a way to edit this change. Some forums mentioned change it in preferences, but I don't have a preferences section. I have a settings section which has nothing on saving anywhere in it that I can find. I have deleted app and reinstalled, and it just saves my info and pulls it back in. I have an iPad mini 5, and I am running the latest IOS software and latest Affinity software. Ideas? Quote
walt.farrell Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 There is no default option any more. When you first Save or Save As a document from the Live Docs panel, you will provide a name for the file and then you will be prompted wehre to save it. Just pick the folder you want to use from the Files dialog that pops up. Well, Affinity on iPad seem to remember certain folders for any open/save action, e.g. crating brush, place command, exporting settings, loading settings etc. And it seems you cannot change this location once it got „burned in“. This costs me dozens of clicks every time because the memorized folder locations are simply wrong. E.g. I have a folder structure in iCloud for brushes, and I want to have the topmost folder memorized.
