Affinity 2.1.0 - Monterey 2.6.9 aff designer 2 : Too Much Bugs ! Macbook Pro 15" I7-2017

Hello all teams,

I apologize by advance, but I am a bit tense...

I am using the affinity applications (here package2 designer, publisher, and photo) and since first version after Adobe suit many years...

So I can understand my youthful defect... but here - I think - they are many "bugs".

Today : just about designer 2.

How can I begin :

First thing : When I am creating a new project... New file... When I am typing the dimensions, 3 times on 4, just one is taken, generally not the height. SO I have to take it back, its not a big thing but it's annoying.

Second… sometimes, the app is doing "shit". Today, for example. I am working on text design. But Impossible to fix the line spacing. Here, on this file, not others, by default, text with a size 30 pt but line spacing 600 pt, and I can not modify it. I Just need to quit and come back or open another document to regain control.
Sometimes, small arrows can act (or not) on the line spacing zone, but the field is not refreshing, it remains on its starting value, so impossible to know the good value.  

Third. When you are designing a big graphic model, you sometimes need to select elements in number, like a long text or few texts blocs or something... All graphic programs in the world… when you slide the mouse or pad to select these elements, the display shifts, and everything is easy to select in on time. But here... Nothing. No shift ! You need to reduce and select. It's very bad, because we lose time, efficiency, and precision.

Other thing. The cursor is not intuitive and precise to select one element with using text. Too many times, when I use a text block over a colored block, it's impossible (difficult) to select the bloc under, I need to move the text to access to the block. And when the text is selected involuntarily, the text tool is activating... And I have escape or re-activate the selctor tool before to trying to succeed.  

I stop here, but there are too many bad behaviors !

PS : there are recurrent problems with fields, like I said in point 1 and 2. Perhaps it's my machine, perhaps it's me.

So, despite all this. I campaign for Affinity !

You may need to press Tab before creating the document for the changed value to be accepted. I'm not saying this is right, but you might need to.

I've never heard of being unable to change the leading. Could you share a test document and a screen recording to illustrate the issue?

Agreed, Affinity will not auto-scroll when you're drag selecting with the Move or Node tools. It will with the Frame Text tool and when you're drawing with a shape tool.

When you click and the text frame is selected, then press Option (Alt) and click again - it should select the shape underneath.
