anto Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 When I print a CMYK document on a black and white printer from Publisher, Publisher prints the black color very pale, like gray. If I export the same document as a press-ready to CMYK and then print it from Acrobat, for example, the black is dark and crisp. What should I adjust when printing directly from Publisher to make the black color black and not gray? Quote
walt.farrell Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 What OS are you using, and what kind of printer? What release of Publisher? What color is the text in your document (e.g., 0/0/0/100 or some "rich-black" value)? Staff Lee D Posted October 25, 2023 Staff Posted October 25, 2023 Our apps use an RGB draw surface when printing, regardless of the OS or printer. If the text is set correctly in the app, perhaps try checking your print settings such as paper type and print quality, just in case. If these are set to basic/draft they can have an effect on print outs. As a quick test I added some text using 100%K and a shape with a black to white gradient. I printed using a Canon inkjet, the text wasn't pale and visually looked black and the gradient looked as expected. Oufti 1 Quote
