genkin Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 First, I'd like to know how can I display my mask attached to a layer to appear besides the layer and not underneath? So I don't have to click on the small arrow to open it? I want to be able to click on it right away to select it and to paint on it. The second question is, how can I have the background and front colours automatically set to black and white as soon as I have selected a mask? Really basic features which every other application can do, but doesn't work in AP for me Thank you! Quote
GarryP Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 You should be able to select the Mask Layer by selecting the Mask Layer thumbnail when the parent layer is not expanded. If the Mask layer isn’t shown to the right of the parent layer thumbnail then you can drag the Mask Layer thumbnail over the parent layer thumbnail. You can press the D key to set the colours to Black/White and the X key to swap them – there’s no way to automatically switch to Black/White when the mask layer is selected as far as I know. (I see Return got in there just before me.) genkin 1 Quote
