Hello,

I am running Affinity 1 on a Yoga C630 Snapdragon laptop using Windows 11.  I get an warning when the program starts that my GPU doesn't support DirectX10 even though the Adreno 630 apparently supports up to DX12.

Also, in the performance settings when I check OpenCL I get the following message.

Is there any way to get GPU acceleration working on a Snapdragon PC with an Adreno GPU?

Thank you for any assistance.

Hi @NostromoKane and welcome to the forums.

Your laptop uses an ARM processor. Programs built for the x86 processor architecture (Intel/AMD) run in a compatibility mode on Windows for ARM.
Therefore, error-free functioning of x86 programs on ARM architecture cannot be guaranteed. Which in your case results in the GPU not being recognized by Affinity programs and thus not being supported.

I see. Thank you for the replay and clear explanation.  I think my gpu is probably too old to receive any driver updates to resolve the problem.

No, the ARM architecture itself is the bottleneck, not the drivers.
