affinty designer 2 export and brush quality

Recommended Posts

Hi

i want to make some designs to be printed on canvas and posters with affinty designer 2 with a painting or watercolor style, i tried the pixel brushes and vector brushes (i know the are stretched pixels) but both seems blurry when exporting png, i decided to improve the brushes quality buy tracing as vector in Inkscape then export at high quality, i made one vector brush and one pixel brush both from a very high quality image, about 20k pixels, then tried it in a 400 dpi 36x48 inch document (about 14000x19000 pixels)

this is the result i got, i am confused if it is good for printing since it looks slightly blurry and pixelated when zooming more than 100%

do you think the quality is high enough to be printed on posters and canvas with 18X24 as maximum size?

also, how can i know when using the brushes if the are good to be printed? does anybody tried to print pixel work in affinty designer ?

thanks

the red and blue strokes are vector brush,

the other are from a pixel brush

I'm curious why you're zooming more than 100%?

Your document will be printed at 100%, so if it looks good at 100% won't it look good when printed?

thanks for your reply

i am trying to make sure that it will be printed in high quality, also i make the design size double of the real printing size, i make 36X48 inch document size to print on 18X24 canvas or poster, with all of that i still have concerns about the printing quality so i am asking to know if other people with experince know something about this
