I have plenty of Artboards for the App UI project and I also have some folders just to contain stuff that is not on Artboards, like Screenshots...

But it keeps happening to me, that when I manually create new Artboard, the Screenshots Group will get automatically added to that new Artboard. I understand that this is happening because my Screenshots are all over the place and I am creating the Artboard inside their common bounding box.

Here is a demonstration: artboards issue.mkv

And my test file: artboards issue.afdesign

Even though technically this makes kind of sense. I would expect this to only happen if I would draw the Artboard over an existing object. I do not however believe that this is an intended behaviour with group bounding box, so I am reporting it as a bug.

Hi @Raptosauru5,

Groups/layers do have their own bounding boxes on the canvas, and as demonstrated on your file/recording if you were to create a new artboard which intersects with the Groups bounding box it will automatically nest that group (or container layer) onto the artboard as it does with individual objects, as expected.

However, I can certainly see the benefit of this action not being carried out automatically by the app, particularly in circumstances such as your sample document when the group bounding box covers a wide area of the canvas, therefore i've logged this as an improvement with the developers.
