I'm sure this issue has been mentioned before, but I haven't seen any updates to it. I am unable to open files from my TrueNAS fileserver. I get a message saying that the file is locked. Affinity apps are the only ones I have found with this issue.

macOS Big Sur 11.7.10

Yeah, but the file isn't locked, that's the issue. I'm the only user. There isn't any lock file either.

 

Edit: Actually, just checked and there is a lock file created when it's opened and it's not deleted when it closes. It suggests that Affinity is misidentifying the user…

The lock files should be removed when the file is closed or after 5 minutes of inactivity, does your NAS software have a delayed sync setting when opening and closing files.

Not that I'm aware of. It doesn't have this issue with any other application. It seems as if Affinity creates the lock file, then sees there's a lock file and refuses to open it. I'm guessing it thinks that it's a different user's lock file.
