Xarlie Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 Hi I'm a newcomer to Affinity photo and I've been erasing tripods and other unwanted objects from 360 images in Equirectangular Projection. After finishing the project I find half of my images are no longer displaying as 360 images and if I select Equirectangular Projection I get a distorted image. I don't even know how to describe the image I now have so I'm struggling to find any help in this forum or via google search. Q. Can I recover my 360 image? Q. What have I done wrong to end up with this problem? Thanks to anyone who offers assistance Quote
NotMyFault Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 Hi, using 360 degree projection limits what type of edits you are allowed to make. How did you remove the tripod? do you have the original image, so we can try to show a solution? I’m editing out the tripod using Inpainting brush tool as advised in YT tutorials. As I mentioned have of the images have saved correctly but the other half appear to have lost their 360 image. I believe I followed the same procedure for all but obviously I’m missing something for some of the images to loose there entire 360 image. Quote
Staff NathanC Posted October 20, 2023 Staff Posted October 20, 2023 Hi @Xarlie, Could you possibly provide a copy of the original image as NotMyFault mentioned, and then the after result in an .afphoto file which shows the problem? It might be a little difficult to track what happened if the .afphoto files unless they had the history saved with them, but it may give some indication. If you don't wish to share them publicly, let me know and I can provide an upload link. Quote
Xarlie Posted October 20, 2023 Author Posted October 20, 2023 Hi Nathan thanks for your reply. the files are saved as jpeg however this morning I’ve gone back through the images that didn’t save properly and re edited them and then exported to the intended folder open on another monitor so I managed to save then all correctly as their intended 360 images.
