Corsicaman
Hello. I have the following problem with Affinity Designer. When I export a file under the PSD format, every layer becomes "pixelated", including text. This prevents the person who receives the file from modifying it like he should be able to. How can I export a file that anyone can edit in photoshop like a regular affinity file, not pixelated? Thanks in advance!
Staff MEB Posted March 30, 2016 Staff Share Posted March 30, 2016 Hi Corsicaman, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) We don't currently support exporting of native text to PSD. Other features like certain adjustements, FX Effects, filters etc may have to be restructured and/or rasterised because the PSD format doesn't support Affinity's file structure/features directly. It's also a proprietary format, poorly documented, which makes it harder to comply to its specs. So while we try to offer the best PSD compatibility possible, it's unlikely that we will be able to fully support it. osang and Corsicaman 2 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference | Call for Camera Images
Corsicaman
Thanks for the answer, even though it's pretty disappointing, especially considering you advertise the "great" compatibility of Affinity quite a bit. Would definitely be a great improvement if you ever manage to make it work. :)
